From creator Chad Turner, "The idea for Yoga Design Lab started while on vacation in Bali. I was seated in the back of a packed class at the well-known mecca for yoga, Yoga Barn. Looking around, all I saw was a sea of unoriginal, massed produced, solid colored yoga mats. My thinking was, there must be a way of creating a highly function product that was also aesthetically beautiful. The inspiration grew and I knew I wanted to design mats that would make more people excited about practicing yoga. So the journey began. Long story short, I sold my stuff, packed up a couple bags and moved to Bali with the goal of creating a line of yoga accessories that would inspire people around the world.
Blending fashion-forward design elements with innovative functionality and bio-renewable consciousness is key to the Yoga Design Lab approach. This lightweight yoga mat was great on a trip to Scotland. Easy to fold or roll and pack. I may have ordered a 3mm mat or it was shipped accidentally. Yoga Outlet was great to work with in shipping the correct mat and paying postage to return to 3mm mat. Love the bright colors of this travel mat. Thank you, Yoga Outlet

I just wrote a book. The book is called "Thinking Just Hurts the Team." The book is about what I have learned doing yoga and how I apply those principles in the boardroom and workplace. I took some of the cool words out of my book and placed them on this mat for a cool piece of yoga mat art. I've had the yoga mat art framed to keep it piece forever.The mat worked great. I will be buying another mat to use when I travel. I love hot yoga. I love that it is soft and washable. It will fit great in my suitcase, hopefully when I travel to share my messages in my book.

So the material felt different than I expected, it was better. I thought it would feel like a towel, but it feels much better than it does to use a towel on a regular mat. There is not any noticable cushion because of the thickness measurements, but that is no issue for me and was described in the details.I needed an excellent non-slip mat for hot yoga, and a lightweight mat to bring with me outdoors on hikes. That being said, this mat should be used on a flat, smooth surface if you are to use it outdoors. It's a bonus that I can wash this mat in the washer. The colorful and vibrant design also makes me feel very content with my purchase. Also, this brand is free from many harsh chemicals. This mat and another I got from Yoga Outlet made me trust and fall in love with the website, and I plan to make many more future purchases from this website. Happy and proud to be their customer!
