The mat is beautiful and very compact; not super light but fine. No cushion to speak of; probably very good for grip but I haven’t rolled it out because I need at least 25” wide and contrary to the description at YogaOutlet.com, it’s 24” not 26” and I will have to return it.

I love how my hands and feet do not slip at all when using this mat. It has no cushion whatsoever, so use over another mat or on a somewhat soft surface if you need cushion. For travel it certainly can work on its own you just might not want to do a lot of poses with your knees down without some additional padding. Color is awesome, beautiful and functional. Can also be used like a mat-towel for hot yoga.
