(These are initial impressions, I can't comment on how this stands up to use over time. )
I'm 6 ft 195lb and top-heavy, so I tend to slide forward during down dog if my palms are sweaty. It really distracts me during practice. However, the thickness of this mat combined with the cork do a great job of keeping me stationary. I slide about 1 inch per 30-45 seconds on a standard mat, which is reduced to less than a 1/16in in the same time on this one, and that's only during intense sessions. This mat is thick enough to be used on tile or other hard surfaces if your movements are controlled. 1 more mm would be ideal but this is a great compromise if you have to carry it around. I keep it atop foam mats so the weight and portability aren't important to me (the thickness is also decidedly immaterial due to the foam mats). Comfort and quality are 5 and 5 so far, but then I've only used it a handful of times. If the cork starts breaking off before a year I'll be back to revise this review. I would've given 4 stars if it were more expensive, unless it was 6mm, then I still would've given 5. I've given a 4 for durability because I just don't know yet, but it seems sufficient. The important take-aways are: good apparent quality, right price, very comfy, soft and smooth, keeps me steady, long and wide enough for at least a 6-foot person.

Disappointing the surface of the mat is a thin layer of cork mesh, pieces of the cork had fallen away exposing the mesh holding it together. The rubber is very supportive in the various positions I've been in. I use it on laminate flooring, but the mat does bunch up when I'm using a foam roller. I had gotten one previously for my 6' tall brother who enjoys the length. Said it was slick and that he sweats a lot.
