I completed my 200 hour YTT a couple of years ago and practice yoga every day, but I’ve been hesitant to start teaching it. I’m afraid that I’m not enough of an expert yet to put myself in the position of a teacher. I’m working towards my 500 hours, which I hope will give me more confidence to begin teaching. What advice do you have for someone in my position? Should I begin teaching, or wait until I’ve completed more training?
Hi Amy! I am a RYT yoga instructor, and mommy. I am so thankful and blessed for the windows sto have opened to flow through yoga training, and find myself teaching so soon. However, even knowing the wisdom.. I find myself recently stuck, stress eating… Letting my toddler boss me around… Trying to play with him but torn wanting to practice for myself between teaching classes and home time. Sometimes I find excuses like needing more mom friends, or too sore and tired. But I also feel the potential that I can be more. And I want to be all I can be this moment. Would love any thoughts on mentality issues with mom love/struggles!! Thank you, looking forward to all your wisdom!!
