How to Make This Salad

INGREDIENTS

  • Jicama — 1 Cup
    This is a prebiotic - the food source for the healthy bacteria in your gut.
  • 1 Avocado
    This is a healthy fat, which helps lower cardiovascular inflammation and cholesterol levels.
  • Organic Sauerkraut — 1/4 Cup
    This is a probiotic - which is the healthy bacteria to put into your gut to keep your immune system strong.
  • 1 Lemon
    This is an antioxidant and high in Vitamin C.
  • Virgin Olive Oil — 1.5 Tablespoons
    This is a healthy fat that's anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
  • Organic Sea Salt (to taste)

DIRECTIONS

  1. Chop up the jicama into bite-sized pieces, and put it into your salad bowl.
  2. Dice the avocado, and add it to the bowl.
  3. Add the sauerkraut to the bowl.
  4. Squeeze the lemon, and add the juice to the ingredients in the bowl.
  5. Add the olive oil to the ingredients in the bowl.
  6. Add a pinch of salt to taste.
  7. Mix all of the ingredients together.
  8. Enjoy!
