The Yogi Review: Joggers Compared

It's Sara Quiriconi, @livefreewarrior, back with another review on EverydayYoga.com! I'm super excited about this category, because they're honestly a pant that I live my life in. Joggers are one of those items in your closet that serves multiple functions and can range in style from semi-dressed up to 100% chill. Even more, if you're looking for a gift for someone who is on-the-go and wants minimal effort, joggers are a perfect item to hit all of their needs in one single gift. Some of my favorite uses for joggers are:

1. Travel - The ultimate comfort for travel leisure wear!
2. To-and-from Studio/Gym/Classes - That added layer you need come fall and winter.
3. Errands - For those days when you're not wearing your yoga pants to run errands.
4. Low-key work attire - I work from home, so speaking to my freelancing fans out there.
5. Sleep - They make the perfect pajamas!

In this review, I'm giving my feedback and thoughts on seven different brands and pairs of joggers to share with you. All products shown here were provided by EverydayYoga.com and can be purchased on their site!

Beyond Yoga Cozy Fleece Foldover Long Sweatpant Joggers

Beyond Yoga focuses in on quality materials and the soft fabric they used in these joggers falls nothing short of excellence. I wore these on a flight traveling from Miami to New England and enjoyed every comfy minute of that flight sitting cross-legged in comfort. Perhaps that sweet inner fleece lining has a little something to do with that. These joggers run true to size, if not, a bit on the small side. I would recommend air-drying after washing them to prevent any shrinking. A couple additional features I appreciate are that they have pockets for tossing your phone in while on the go, and a fold-over waistline. I also love the soft, neutral, feminine color that can pair with just about anything. I am beyond grateful to own these as one of my new travel must-haves.

Marika Balance Jewel Cozy Joggers ($22.99)

A straight-forward jogger in a soft fleece-feeling fabric. These are a great entry price-point pant to have in your gym bag to layer on before or after your workout or sweaty hot yoga class. I had to buy a few sizes up in these, due to the size run, but I would say they run true to size, with a little bag in the inseam. These tie at the waist and have two pockets for storage. Depending on your size, you can fold over the waistband like I did if the pant is a bit long for you. Blue just so happens to be my favorite color, so the heathered texture is
the kind reminder that you're stepping into something that feels good.

One touch and I was in love with these. The minute they arrived, I popped them out of the bag and slipped them on. Instead of taking them off, I enjoyed an afternoon exploring the Frost Science Museum for an afternoon of exploration in my home city. These take the category for best joggers for errands, travel, and lounge. The butter-soft fabric and quality appeal are amazing. I'm a burgundy fan, typically, and the rich cherry color is a welcomed hue for the fall season in my wardrobe. These tie at the waist, have a banded cuff at the bottom to fit almost any leg length, and two pockets for storage keys, snacks, phones, or whatever you need when going to-and-from.

These are the jogger pant that you could get away with wearing out to meet your friend for coffee, styled as capris, then head in to your yoga class and rock a headstand. These joggers have a lightweight fabric and stretch to them that give you the space you need to lunge, invert, stretch, and just get around town. These joggers feature a banded waist with synched sides for style down the leg. I would recommend sizing up one size if you tend to fall in between sizes (I'm wearing a small).

Vuori Performance Joggers ($82.00)
Vuori Performance Joggers ($82.00)

I've heard of the brand Vuori before, but these were the first pants I've owned or tried on by them. In short: I'm a FAN! These are perfect for Miami weather, with year-round mid to high heat, due to their lightweight fabric and soft comfort. I aboslutely love the color in pants; however, white doesn't really love me when it comes to not making a mess and keeping those white pants white. For that reason, I love that Vuori made these joggers in a heathered white color, so as not to see every single little color spot that could attract on the pant.

Spiritual Gangster SG Varsity 7/8 Fave Sweatpants ($88.00)
Spiritual Gangster SG Varsity 7/8 Fave Sweatpants ($88.00)

Remember the days back in college wearing your varsity pants? These are them -- the 2.0 version. Spiritual Gangster knows how to make no-frills fashionable. With a tie waistband and emblem on the back calf, these joggers are more like a sweatpant that can be styled for to-and-from or an added layer around the home or studio. Truly, these are 7/8 length in the pant, so if you tend to be on the tall side (I'm 5'7”), these will fit exactly where they say they will. However, if you're a bit shorter, these may cut closer to your ankle.

Free People Movement Sunny Skinny Sweat Pants ($48.00)

Sturdy, soft, and a great pant to style up for that freelancer life -- plus they come in black! This freedom seeker loves the versatility that Free People creates in their clothing, with just the right blend of style and laidback attire. Black goes with everything and these pants can certainly go anywhere. They are true to size, and can be styled up with a small heel or any sneaker. The fabric has some weight, making them perfect for cooler temperatures.

Thankfully, you don't need to be a jogger to wear joggers, given that I'm not the best runner out there. However, if I did decide to go from yoga class, to the office, then for a run after, joggers are truly an all-around, multi-tasking pant to wear, gift, and style. What's your favorite jogger in the line-up? Did I miss yours? Comment below; I'd love to hear your favorite travel or post-yoga pant to throw on!
