I have gone through many mats in the 20+ years that I have been practicing yoga. Some were really bad, some not so great, and some really good. This mat is sticky and it is light for me to carry. I have had absolutely no problem with my hands and feet slipping since the first day and it fits easily into the mat carrier I also ordered to go with it. The mat is beautiful also. I have had some adjustment to make because it is a bit thinner than my other mats have been, but it is really not a huge problem and I just slip a towel under my knees if they begin to bother me in low lunge. Yes, I certainly do recommend this mat.
